How to delete your Azaza Match game account and records
Azaza Match saves your progress with a game account, without a sign-up. Your game account is an anonymous account, and on Android it is linked automatically to your Google Play Games profile if you have one. You can delete your game account right in the game, and if you no longer have the app, you can ask us by email to delete it.
Delete it in the game
From version 0.22.0 of the game, on Android and iOS. It is deleted at once.
- In the game, tap the gear button at the top left of the home screen to open Settings, and tap Delete account.
- The Delete your account? window shows what is deleted and what is kept. A deletion cannot be undone, so read it through. To stop, tap Cancel.
- Press and hold the Hold to delete button for about 2 seconds. The button fills while you hold it, and when it is full your account is deleted.
- When you see Account deleted, it is done. The game records stored on this phone are deleted too, and the game goes back to the start. Settings such as music, sound and vibration may stay.
It needs an internet connection. If the deletion fails, nothing is changed. Check your connection and try again.
If you are done with the game, uninstall it too. While the app is still on your phone, the game starts over on a new game account, which may be linked to your Google Play Games profile again. Uninstalling the game removes what it stored on the phone and its device identifiers.
If Settings shows Request account deletion instead of Delete account, your game is older than 0.22.0. Update the game, or ask us by email as below.
Ask us by email
Use this if you have already uninstalled the game or cannot delete in the game.
We hold no real name or contact details for you, so we find your records by the Player ID in the game.
- In the game's Settings, tap the Player ID line to copy it. (The support report you copy from the Version … line has your Player ID in it too.) If you are going to uninstall the game, copy it first.
- Email help@argozone.com with the subject "Data deletion request", and paste your Player ID into the message.
- We act on your request within 10 days of receiving it. What is deleted and what is kept are the same as when you delete in the game.
A parent, guardian or someone you authorize can also make the request for you.
What is deleted, and what is kept
The same whether you delete in the game or by email. These periods are the ones in section 2 of the privacy policy.
Deletedwhen you delete your account
- Your cloud save: the game progress stored in Cloud Firestore (stages cleared, gold, gems, lives, win streak, your gear and its upgrade levels, keys and the chest guarantee count, your Aza Pass progress, and so on). Gems you bought are deleted with it and cannot be restored. An Aza Pass Premium you bought ends with that account and cannot be got back on a new game account (it is not released as described next). A product you buy once and keep (such as Ad-Free Rewards) is released from the deleted account, so you can get it back by starting anew with the same Google Play account (on iOS, the same Apple account).
- Your game account: the anonymous Firebase Authentication account and its Player ID
- Your link to Google Play Games: if you linked it, what Firebase Authentication keeps of it (your Play Games player ID, nickname and profile image address)
- Anonymous accounts left behind: those that another phone or a reinstalled game left when it moved to your linked account, and their cloud saves (when the carry-over records lead us to them)
Keptuntil deleted automatically
- Error reports (Firebase Crashlytics): deleted automatically after 90 days
- The logs of our server that checks purchases, carries bought gems over and deletes accounts (Cloud Logging): deleted automatically after 30 days. For a deletion they hold only an access record of the request, the first characters of your Player ID and the number of accounts deleted.
- Gameplay statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase, including gem shop and in-app purchase records): deleted automatically after 2 months, and their copy exported to BigQuery after 60 days. They are not linked to your Player ID, so they cannot be looked up and deleted one by one. Aggregated statistics that identify no one may remain.
- Firebase installation identifiers and similar technical data: as set by Google's Firebase retention policies
- Your emails to us and any support report you sent (including questions about purchases and order numbers): kept for 1 year after your request is closed, then deleted
- Our server's purchase and refund records (the hash of the purchase token, your Player ID, the product, the order number, the purchase time and so on): kept for 5 years from the purchase, as Korea's E-Commerce consumer protection law requires, then deleted. They stay for that period even after your account is deleted, used only for that legal purpose and to let you get back a product you buy once and keep with the same store account.
- Records of carrying bought gems over (the Player IDs of the anonymous account left behind and of the account it moved to, the number of purchases and gems moved, when, and so on): the record of the gems you bought being carried over when a new phone or a reinstalled game moved to the account linked to Play Games. Like the purchase records, kept for 5 years from the move, then deleted. They stay for that period even after your account is deleted, kept only for that legal purpose.
- Google Play's payment and order records: kept by Google under Google's policies; we cannot delete them
- Ad information (once ads are on, Google AdMob): what the game's ads SDK sent to Google is kept by Google under Google's policies. We do not hold it, so we cannot delete it; you can make requests about it to Google (Google privacy questions). How to refuse personalized ads and the advertising ID is in section 1.9 of the privacy policy.
Your phone and Android backup
- Deleting in the game also deletes the game records stored on this phone (including the list of purchase tokens of purchases given, the right of Ad-Free Rewards and the list of Aza Pass Premium purchases). The progress and settings stored on your phone, the record that keeps one purchase from giving gems twice (the purchase tokens of purchases whose gems were given), and what is kept until bought gems are carried over, are all removed when you uninstall the game.
- Once ads are on, the year of birth the game asks once for the ads (your answer to the age question), the number of ads watched to the reward and whether the card about Ad-Free Rewards was shown belong to the person using the phone, so they stay on that phone when you delete your account in the game (and after "Start over"). They are not sent to us, and they are deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its data.
- If Android's automatic backup is on, a copy of the game's data on your phone is backed up to your Google Account, and your progress comes back when you reinstall. That backup is managed by Google and your phone's settings, not by us; you can turn it off or delete it in your phone's backup settings.
Your Google Play Games profile
Deleting your account deletes your game account and its link to Play Games, but not your Play Games profile (nickname, profile image and so on) or its records. Your Play Games profile is managed by Google: to delete it, use your Play Games profile settings or your Google Account.
If the app is still on your phone after the deletion and you have a Play Games profile, a new game account may be made and linked to that profile again. If you are done with the game, uninstall it too.
"Start over" is not deletion
Start over in the game's settings takes your progress back to the beginning and overwrites your cloud save with the new progress. It does not delete your game account (or its link to Play Games), gameplay statistics or error reports. To delete them, use Delete account in the settings (without the app, email us as above).
